Becoming overly exhausted by the weight, I slumped in the chair, picked up my devotional and was lovingly reminded of this,
"LOOK TO GOD."
And I handed the burden to my "Burden Carrier" and rested once again in His love.
What is this burden? The salvation of my children. To see them walk in Freedom and Triumph.
Amy Carmichael said it better than I ever could,
"If I have not the patience of my Savior with souls that grow slowly; if I know little of travail (a sharp and painful thing) tell Christ be fully formed in them, then I know nothing of Calvary love." If by Amy Charmichael.
P.S. I sold my computer to a friend and am now sharing my husbands computer. I found this photo of Ethan and Elijah when my husband took Ethan to meet his relatives--Elijah is the little boy to the far left in the orange shirt.

Even though this burden is hard...i praise God that you have a burden and are praying disparately for your children to come to know Him....what a great mom you are because that is the best thing you can do for them...praying for their salvation!
Truly this is a heavy burden for a mother that only seems to get heavier as they get older. When they go off on their own and are exposed to all the filth of this world it becomes increasingly difficult to not feel the huge weight of the burden. With 6 kids, 2 that are teenage boys, I cry to the Lord often to guard their hearts and minds and help them to resist temptation. All we can do is keep bringing it to the Lord daily and lean on Him for strength.
I pray for all their salvation.
Sophie Neri wrote it so well.
It is the love a mother can understand and I love the quite from A.Carmichael.
I am always praying for my kids' salvation. It really is the only thing that matters when it gets down to the nitty gritty. I think the best we can do is raise them in His ways, and pray that they will continue in them.
This is a tough one. I too believe it is the most important thing we can pray for them. My kids are 18 & 20 and walking the winding path to making their faith their own. It is scary, but the Lord has impressed on me to trust His timing and to love them no matter what and to relax. I am not Holy Spirit Jr. After all, I didn't come to accept the Lord til I was 34! He is faithful and able! Praying with you my friend...
