"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth forever."
1 Peter 1:23
When the Lord led us to Northern Uganda, a once war torn region, we realized that an entire generation had never been taught how to farm {they were to busy fighting a war}. Not only did they lack knowledge of local farming, they lacked the means to begin.
It is our desire to use farming as an avenue to share the gospel.
Thus far the Lord has led us to 'purchase' a large parcel {45+ acres} of land located just down the road from Lotodore Christian Fellowship. We are leasing the land from our son's Elijah an Ethan's family, and hope to give it to them as an inheritance some day. There are currently two young men 'managing' the land for Zane --both new believers.
We have also been led to start small scale farms in remote villages to "build up the community." Again, we will use these farms as an opportunity to share the gospel and begin fellowships within the village.
As of recent we were given 2+ acres of land just outside of Kitgum town. Before this land was given to us we were using it {on loan} for farming both papaya and orange trees.....
EXCITING NEWS to COME!!!
