Seeing my great need to start the day with my Lord, I have started something new. I get up by 7am (because of my various illnesses I need a good 8-10 hours of sleep) and the children, who are often beginning to wake from their slumber at the same time, are being trained to lay in bed and quietly look at books until 7:30am. So far, so good! These 30 minutes are precious, needful and necessary for a fruit filled day...and a happy mommy!
Lately the Lord has been leading me to the book of Isaiah. This morning, I was BLESSED by these Words,

"I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering." 48:10

Suffering, I am coming to understand, is often useful in the life of the believer. It has a way of stripping us of pride and self sufficiency--keeping us from climbing back up on our own little pedestal.

"I will not let My reputation be tarnished, and I will not share my glory with idols." 48:11

Wow, sounds like you are coming up with some great little ideas to make your day smoother. I pray that the Lord will continue to bring creative solutions your way as you continue down the path to healing!

Amen, sister! If only I could accept these times of pruning with a better attitude!
