For quite some time my husband has been asking me to start a blog whose vision and focus would be on the ministry the Lord has called us to here in Northern Uganda...preaching the Word, making disciples, farming and orphans. However, a new blog seemed overwhelming, considering the fact that I am trying to "scale down" on my blogging. Then this morning, as I was sweeping up dead mosquitos praying, I felt the Lord lay a new blog vision on my heart. I will now incorporate more of our life and ministry on this established blog. We have a story to tell {as I was reminded of recently}. A story the Lord had written from the beginning of time. A story full of hope, transformation, faithfulness and joy in the Lord as we serve among the "forgotten" tribes of Northern Uganda. I pray that, as you follow our journey, you will be spurred on, encouraged and edified as you too "have a story to tell."
{my amazingly handsome husband preaching the Word in the village church}
{ringing the church "bell."}
Please take note of a few new side tabs {to come} that will share 'our story,' prayer requests and various needs of the ministry. This will all take time to establish, so patiently bare with me.

Yea!!! I had recently been thinking how I would love to hear more about your ministry in Uganda...you know what does it “look” like and all. You do have an awesome story to tell and I look forward to reading more about it.
I am excited to see this new change for your blog! I love reading about your family but I have been curious about your ministry for a long time now. Thank you for sharing it with us!
i'm looking forward to hearing you guys' story :)
Love the new look and new focus! I hope you will still post on adoption and family some too.
Love the new layout :)and what about this soon to be 12?
Yay!! Love this! You DO have a HUGE story to tell and they way you all are living it out, is SUPER inspiring!
Love to you!
Oh, i love the new look! I have been following for some time, but never knew your "story". My husband and I know God wants us to be missionaries for Him in Ghana. When I read your story today and realized Zane was there, I was so excited. I would love any wisdom or insight you have. We just have a deep desire and burden for the orphans.
Blessings, Kristie

I LOVE IT!!! I have been wanting to hear more and see more about what you all do in Uganda. Rebecca will be very happy about this too! Her heart for Africa is HUGE and she asks more questions with each new item she learns. Maybe the Lord will take her heart for nursing and mix it with her heart for people in foreign lands!
Can't wait to see more! It is shaping up really nicely!

Can't Wait to hear more!!!!!

Love the new blog!!
summer, you are so inspiring and i luv the new blog focus; but love to also hear about your family and personal life of being a mom to so many! i look forward to reading about the real work you are doing and the real difference you are making!
I can't tell you how excited I am about the new focus of your blog!!! I was just praying about this a few days ago. Just knowing there was so much more happening with your ministry there then we were able to hear of and wondering how it was going was killing me! When I saw a picture of you with Ezekiel a few weeks back I thought "she's absolutely glowing in a way I haven't seen before" and I knew you guys must be right where the Lord wants you. Gary and I cannot shake Uganda from our minds and hearts, especially the orphans and widows and believe we will be coming back. I have been longing to hear more about your ministry to the people there. Love the pictures of Zane ringing the "church bell". Can't wait to show Gary!!!
What a fabulous idea....can't wait to hear more about what the Father is doing in and through you.
