Bren (the baby I spoke of in a recent post) went home to be with Jesus today. Her caregiver, my friend Robin, took her into the clinic today after she refused to eat for nearly two days. Upon arrival at the hospital, neither nurse nor doctor were present to help--she needed a blood transfusion. Our friend Jessica, who initially came to Uganda to help me during my brucellosis treatment, was at the hospital with Robin and did all she could to resusitate Bren.
NEEDLESS suffering. It rips at your heart. And tears into your spirit.
I am so thankful for my two friends that became the hands of Jesus to this precious baby--I told them today, "you loved this baby straight into the arms of Jesus." Please pray for the mother. She is only seventeen, without husband, a home or hope.

I too am so saddened by the needless suffering. May God bless those who loved her while she was here with us. Praying for all whose lives Bren touched, and especially for her mother.
