Laying a foundation

Before we start looking at behavior it is important that we understand that all issues of life flow from the heart. And for many adopted children, the heart has been effected by a lack of hope, "hope deferred make the heart sick (Proverbs 13:12)." However, this truth can never be an excuse to justify sinful behavior.

It is our ministry as parents to bring healing to our children's hearts by first, calling sin, sin and exposing the lies of the enemy. And, imparting wisdom that comes by fearing the Lord and understanding His love that seeks to Redeem And Deliver.

Sin:

"There is no one righteous, no not one....that the entire world is guilty before the Lord."
Romans 3

"For the Lord clearly sees what a man does, examining every path he takes. And evil man is held captive by his own sins, they are roped that catch and hold him. He will dies for lack of self control; he will be lost because of his great foolishness." Proverbs 5:21-23

Fear of the Lord:

"Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing foryour body and strength for your bones."
Proverbs 3:7-8

Wisdom:

"My child, listen to me and do all that I say, and you will have a good long life.
I will teach you wisdom's ways and lead you in the straight paths. " Proverbs 4:10-11

Redeem And Deliver:

"Thou wast slain, and hast Redeemed us to God by thy blood our of every kindred, tongue, people and nation."
Revelation 5:9

"For He (Jesus) has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins."
Colossians 1:13-14
