Let it be about Jesus!

I feel like I need to change the focus of this blog. I never wanted it to become a place of heated discussion or arguing over opinions. Blogging is not the best means to convey ones heart--as it is so very easy to be misunderstood. All I ever wanted was for the Word of God to speak for itself. And yes, the gospel reaches deep into the heart of man, convicting and condemning sin. I desire for my life to be one that speaks of Jesus and displays His marvelous power. I will begin praying about what, and if, the Lord will have me continue blogging.

"Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in EVERY part of our lives. Let us not become proud, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another."Ephesians 5
**This is why I blog--to display the marvelous riches of Jesus displayed in the lives of these amazing little miracles!**

I understand what you mean when you say that you want to change the focus of the blog. I know that your heart has been to speak the truth of God's word, and to bring honor and glory to the name of Jesus. It is hard to be misunderstood; just remember that Jesus, too, was misunderstood. I just want to encourage you to continue sharing, because your blog is encouraging, thought provoking, and convicting by turns, and it DOES bring honor and glory to Jesus! And if it does that, it is worthwhile! I would miss so much not reading your updates, seeing how God is at work in Uganda, and in your lives. Your blog is a blessing, dear sister! Be encouraged!

My dearest friend. I really feel that the Father has given you a VOICE! Don't back down! Whether you preach from the pulpit, or on your blog, you are GOING to get those who disagree. Oh, and they LOVE to tell you about it :)
Do not let the enemy put you in a corner--telling you not to do what you do. You bring glory and honor to the Lord, and that, dear friend, is really all that matters.
You may consider taking comments OFF when you share from your heart--that way they just have to keep their opinions to themselves, but those who NEED to hear the message still get to hear it.

Sweet sister,

Your children are beautiful and truly a treasure!

Whether or not you continue to blog is truly a question for the Lord, and since I don't know you well, I won't give my opinion. But, I will say that I don't think that misunderstandings and disagreements are necessarily bad. Often, they help people to get to the heart of an issue. Also, they give people the opportunity to disagree in LOVE. And isn't that the goal--love?

You were talking about some things on your blog and I misunderstood what you were saying. I wanted to share my heart and experience with you. Then you clarified what you meant, and I realized that we actually agreed overall. So, now I know you better and realize that we have much in common. But, even if we disagreed, I still could learn from you and that could certainly be a blessing to us both.

Just my thoughts.

Love and blessings to you!
Sarah

I just found your blog through David and Sarah and wanted to say what a beautiful family you have. I have been struggling with a tiny controling member of our family who I believe has some sin issues and I DO BELIEVE that the word of God and Holy Spirit will heal her brokenness. I also believe that I am working in cooperation with God to bring about the change and YES, Jesus is enough. He is my only hope for her and I am expecting big things for her as she is filled with the spirit and HIS WORD. That is what I am counting on . Your blog is an encouragement to me on my journey.....I pray daily for wisdom in leading my children.....We are worlds apart but family just the same. Bless You and your family in your journey.

Not to offend, but in some cases, the Truth is like "casting pearls before swine." It has no value and is trampled.
However, if you reach one heart....what's the value of that! Yay!

I know it can be difficult to stand up for the Lord and doing things God's way, but it never means we should stop. I have enjoyed your blogs and look forward to what will be next! Keep the faith & hold fast to what is true!
