Honestly...I am EXHAUSTED!

The days have been long. The church is hosting a big short term missions team--which means I never see my husband. I have been battling emotions (some not so nice) due to my cycle and the house never seems to stay clean. I am so grateful that our walk with the Lord is not based on feelings, emotions or reality. Although I feel exhausted I know I can cling to the strength of my Lord. When my emotions are all over the place I can hold onto the One that is constant. And though the house keeps getting dirty--despite daily cleaning and tidying--and the kids continue to require discipline and training and I don't get out of my pajamas until lunch time the reality is I am rooted in my Savior.

"Blessed is the man (mother) who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord. For he (she) shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out it roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes but its leaf will be green and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit."
Jeremiah 17:7

It is so true! I am also thankful that our emotions can push us to the one we need so badly.
Sending a prayer and love to you....

I will be praying for you, as I recall all the times I felt the same...But nothing compares to them being grown and gone...I will take the dirty house and pajama's anytime! Try to enjoy each moment...Blessing shi~

Welll, can I just say that you are doing a MUCH better job than most people here in california with only 1 or 2 children! haha! The Irony of that makes me laugh, but I do feel for you and hope that you will get some sweet rest soon!!! Physical and Spiritual. Keep on!!!

Oh yeah. I feel you on that! Summer time is very crazy for us too, and it feels like we never see each other, and if we do.....it is in passing. Never ending list of things to do- immediately! Oh wow...feels so good to be normal. Thank you for the scripture!!! Thank God it is not our strength that we survive and thrive on.
