Prayers are going up and being answered! Elyssa's hemoglobin numbers have only dropped slightly--this is a huge praise. Sickle cell is a disease of the red blood cells whereas the shape of the cell is sickled rather than round as it should be--limiting the oxygen supply to vital organs. You can read more at www.mayoclinic.com. If Elyssa's red blood cell count drops too much she would need a transfusion--something we though would surely have to happen today. But, Johovah Rapha has touched her body. Please pray for Elyssa's strength to be renewed. She is still not eating and sleeps most of the day. The Dr. has also asked us to place Elyssa on a heavy dose of antibiotics--her urinalysis/blood work shows an infection has set in. Please pray that Elyssa tolerates the medication. Please know how much we appreciate your prayers...."we walk by faith and not by sight."

Wow! That IS amazing. You guys have been on my mind all day the past couple of days. Psalm 139 keeps popping into my head. We will continue to flood the Lord with prayers for your little one.

praying for your sweet baby here in South Carolina. After a recent trip to Ethiopia, the beauty of the African people has captured me and the closeness they have to the Lord is amazing. God surely has his angels surrounding her. Praise God!!
