Partiality

"There is no partiality with God." Romans 2:11
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy."
James 3:17
"Put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him-a renewal in which there is no distiction between Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free,
but Christ is all, and in all." Col. 3:11

I love letting the word of God speak for me.

Partiality, according to the Nelson's dictionary, "is favoring one person or party more than another and thus acting in a prejudiced or biased manner. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew people were reminded that just as God shows no partiality, so should they show no favoritism to the rich or poor, great or small."

There is a "school of thought," that I believe is another one of the enemies lies to keep orphaned children out of loving, Christ-centered homes, and that is that whites should not adopt black children. Or a child from another culture should remain in his/her birth country, to keep a sense of cultural identity. But, in all truth, we were created in God's image and therefore, we either find our identity in Him, as a believer, or in the world (satan), as a non-believer.

As is spoken in James, "wisdom from above is without partiality." To God, and so it should be with us, these children, no matter their skin color, have a soul and a need to know that Jesus loves them. And like I have said before, it was God's design from the beginning that such should take place in the home--through loving parents.

I remind my children very often, it is the enemies nature to lie in order that he may kill, steal and destroy. He will do whatever it takes to keep a child from hearing the truth that they are loved by the God of this universe, created with a purpose and bought at a price!

Please, continue to join me by standing in the gap for the orphan.

I wish all people understood we are all God's children and children need parents regardless of color or location.

"We were created in God's image and therefore, we either find our identity in Him, as a believer, or in the world (satan), as a non-believer" - This is beautifully written and has ministered to my heart. Thank you so much for your words.
