Our gentle Savior.

Oh, our gentle Savior. Recently I was seeking the Lord concerning the wayward ways of my heart. Isn't He so gentle with us. I love that the word of God is living and active and able to minister to our spirits.
Recently I have begun opening the Word with the intent to press on until I hear from the Lord. And the longer you allow the Word to wash you the more apt you are to realize just how sinful you are. And the Lord remains faithful to forgive and restore.
"Walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience and gentleness, showing tolernace for one another in love...but to each one grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift." Ephesians 4:1-2 & 7
The Lord revealed to me, in the verse above, that I have a tendency towards pride, thinking that "my calling" should be everyones calling. I am a passionate person by fashion (I won the spirit award in highschool, in a class of over 500 students--if that explains it). However, our calling should be covered in humility, gentleness, patience and tolerance. The enemy wants to divide, using our pride as a weapon.
But, let us remember, "we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us." 2 Corinthians 5:20

Awesome!!! It's so true when we just set to seek His face until we HEAR He is so faithful to meet us. I always, always, always walk away from reading the word overwhelmed by what a wretch I am next to our perfect Lord and His ways for us and that sense of knowing how rejected by Him I should be leads to praise at the fact that He has not rejected me! It makes me want to be more like HIM so badly!!

Continue to be passionate as YOU and your husband and family serve Him in the place and purposes He has for you. God's using your service and passion to spur others (me and others too I'm sure) on to love and good deeds.

bless you

that's it exactly, i praise Him for your passion and obedience every time i read one of your posts and i'm always encouraged and often times praying rom 12:2 again and again for my own heart/life/mind. keep writing what the Lord prompts you to share, it's good stuff.
