Endure!

The book of Hebrews spurs me on!
12:1-2 "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus."
I want to camp on 12:1-2. Many know that I used to be an avid runner--in all honesty it was more like an obsession (sinful addiction). Therefore, I can relate to this verse. As I serve the Lord by serving my children and husband, I can often times become weary. But it is usually because I am not keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus. The Lord reminded me that for some peope a 5K race takes endurance, to others it is all they can do to complete a 10K race and yet, for some a marathon is a feat to endure. Therefore, who am I to compare my race to anothers. It is the Lord who calls us to the race, be it a 5K or a marathon. As I watch the Lord unfold His plan for me, as a mother of six little ones and the wife of a pastor, I see how once being a half marathon competitor has prepared me for the race that is set before me.
Press on dear sisters.

A good word! The other day the Lord reminded me He called me to endure, not to "glamor" or a big mountain top high and that's it. He calls me to push foward following HIM and to finish.

Thanks for the reminder.

by the way, I'm off to the post office today to send you a blanket the boys and I worked on and a couple of cute onesies for the little baby girl you emailed us about.

She continues to be brought to my mind often and I'm praying for her.

It weighs less than four pounds so it should be there in a timely manner.

Blessings
