Through someone else's lense.

With my {Summer's} dad here, we are reminded that our life is different.  Very different.  What we see as normal, he shakes his head and wonders how we "do it."  It's our life.  The life God has given us.  The blessings and the "burdens."  Here is a glimpse into our normal life through the lense of an outsider.

A local sunflower seed press--we exchanged our fresh from the farm seed for 15 liters of oil.

The local Catholic Church.

Stove.

Sorghum.

A view from the village.

Chicken houses.

Mission house.

Zane strolling--the earth bag storage shed in the background.

Another stove.

Village children.

Another style of chicken house.

Front gate.

The nicest guesthouse/restaurant in town.

Thank you for this informative and interesting post!
My kids expressed the most shock to the chicken houses. Secondly, they found the stoves very interesting.

Very interesting post...loved all the photos. The chicken houses definitely were my favourite...so different compared to ours.

And the stoves...wow, how do they cook with them?

Thanks for sharing.

LOVE seeing bits of your life.....of God's calling, and how HE works everything for HIS good.

Your family, the people you minister to, and your everyday life that is worlds different from mine is wonderful to see....mostly because it helps me to picture it. Snapshots only of course, but it reminds me to pray and to think about others- not me for once!

Love it!!
