Justice for the sake of those we are ministering among...

The Acholi were the most targeted people group of the hideous rebel group known as the LRA.  For 25 years, families were attacked in the most horrific {and demonic} ways.  Just a few days ago, the US sent out 100 US troops to "take out" the leader, Jose*h Ko*ny.  Please pray that justice will finally be served.

This article, US troops to take out the LRA can give you more details.

This hits very close to home as two of our son's mother was brutally murdered by the LRA--actually, our son Ethan survived the attack as a tiny three week old baby who was strapped to his mother's back.

Please also pray for us as we minister God's redeeming power among the villages of Northern Uganda.

I hope you'll forgive an ignorant question, but here in America the media tells us the LRA is some sort of fringe Christian t*rrorist group. Is this how they are perceived there and is that something you've had to overcome in your ministry?

JG,

I have missed you!

As for your question...

I am appalled that the US media has described the LRA in this way, what ignorance.

In no way is this a "fringe Christian terr*rist group."

Quite the contrary, this is a rebel group "fueled" by satan himself. Therefore, there has not been any need to overcome, as you mentioned, for the Acholi people know quite well that K*ny was a man possessed by demons {he was/is heavily into witchcraft}.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]." Eph 6:12

Thanks again for your comment as well as your concerns.

Blessings and joy,
Summer

Hi Summer! Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, several stories have come out recently identifying LRA as a Christian group. Only some of my non-maintream reads have tried to counter this perception.

I know, I'm horrible at keeping up with commenting! But I have been reading and praying for your health. Thank you so much for being diligent in keeping us informed.

I have heard that LRA are still very active in S. Sudan, are they still active in N. Uganda? The atrocities committed in the name of our Lord are great, I have a hard time making my mind wrap around the stories I have read about the attacks.
