The first day.

"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ."  Ephesians 4:7

Grace.

This Mama needed a lot of it yesterday.

Little Eden showed us her stuff.

Spitting.

Throwing.

Pooping {everywhere}.

Vomiting/gauging.

Screaming.

Lots of trips to the clinic--which is thankfully just around the corner.

HIV test, negative!

First TB test, negative!

Parasitic infection, POSITIVE.

This girl is FULL of worms.

Yuck.

Our first attempt at giving her the medicine proved to be a battle.

It took three grown women.

Not again.

I have resorted to adding it to juice {something I never do}.

Thank you for praying with us.

More to come, I am sure...

P.S. Praise!
Eden is already understanding that I am her new Mama--she follows me everywhere.  Right now she is on my lap singing along with Jacob's Well worship.

OOH, I want to hear the whole story on little Eden. Email me!

We are praying, praying, praying for God to heal her heart - to give her an uplifted spirit and to release her from the Spirits of Rebellion, Rejection and Fear.

I am so grateful that you are faithful. And He is able. And He is faithful.

Praying for His strength for you. Praising Jesus for Eden. Praising Jesus for himself.

OHHH!! She is so beautiful. Eden's eyes are soulful...gorgeous. Congrats!

I remember the worm thing well. My littlest from Lib was 2 and weighed 12 pounds! She had the worst case of worms...they astounded everyone here in Mi:) I grew up in many ways; where my stomach is pretty strong now (and I've learned to breathe through my mouth;).

How wonderful that she is starting to attach!

And...I went to email you yesterday, only to find I don't have the address. Don't know what happened. Mine is lovinmy11@yahoo.com ...if you don't mind emailing me;)

Blessings to you and your wonderful growing family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

I could learn so much from you. I wish I could spend just 24 hours quietly in the corner of your house watching how you interact with and respond to your children.
I have experienced some of those behaviors too and I am certain I took it way too personally :(
I know that you don't have a huge list of books that you refer to, but the ONE book that is the Word of Life. However, I would love to hear YOUR thought life as I am convinced THAT is where I fail so often. I have listened to and believed lies and when I am stretched, my thoughts reveal some of those lies I have believed and I am defeated there. Learning. Even now. Thanks for sharing.

Love ya, so happy to get the prayer watch and see how the men in the village from which she comes was so eager to place her with you. what a testiment to their trust in your family. All Glory to God for this.

Look forward to hearing of her adventures in her new family. We are praying for those worms to DIE.

May GOd give you grace upon grace as you welcome Eden, and for Jesus to envelop her with his love transforming her into a beautiful Child of God.
