Is anything too "complex" for God?

To add to my previous post, I would like to recommend a great resource, which I have read/studied. I do not believe that "counseling" goes against the Word of God as long as it is grounded and rooted in the Word of God, 100%.

1. "How to Counsel God's way" by Bob Hoekstra

"An umbrella cliche that the church {Christians} are using: Life's problems of today are too complex to be using only the Bible and the Holy Spirit."

"Those who use this cliche to justify the use of psychological theories in the ministry of the church {home} are inferring that God allowed insufficiencies in His Word. Further, these "heavenly oversights" are now being remedied by godless, humanistic thinkers. May the Lord forgive us for selling His word short and for not trusting the work of His spirit."

I know that for myself the more I am in the Word the more equipped I am to minister to my children.

"I am fully convinced, brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge so that you can counsel one another." Romans 15:14

And the more I wait upon the Lord for wisdom, the more insight He gives me into what is going on in the heart of my children.

"Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other will all the wisdom HE gives." Colossians 3:16

He is faithful.

"For He who called you is faithful." 1 Thessalonians 5:24

And His word alone will endure.

"the eternal living Word of God." 1 Peter 1:23

Please, please do not open up your children's minds to the lies of the enemy by subjecting them to humanistic philosophies. Take them to the One who is called "Wonderful Counselor."

I just had to comment today that your blog humbles me, encourages me, inspires me, and blesses me. Thanks for taking the time to share what's going on in your life and what burdens your heart.

May God bless you and your beautiful family.
