"How is Ephraim doing?"
The answer, "amazing."
(Ephraim with his brother)
To be honest we were prepared for a heavy spiritual battle when we brought Ephraim home. He was abandoned three times, endured abuse and spent the better part of five years in an institution (although it is the best in the country). Our son was labeled by some as "beyond repair"--a lie from the pit of hell. For we knew,
"In all their {Ephraim's} suffering He also suffered, and He personally rescued them {Ephraim}. In His love and mercy He redeemed them {Ephraim}. He lifted them {Ephraim} up and carried them {Ephraim} through all the years."
Ephraim's life is a testimony of God's redeeming power. All of the behaviors that we were warned about have never surfaced. Ephraim is kind, joyful, obedient and attached. I pray that our obedience to bring him home will encourage others to never label a child as "beyond repair." Never, never limit the power of the Most High God!

Good post. We adopted a few with simular lables and warning that we have not had troubles with at all.I'm not even sure why they were even labled to begin with.
Praising God for HEALING & loving us without strings attached!!!!!
What a beautiful story of the power of our Lord Almighty, He and only He has the power to save. I believe because of your faith and obedience in Him your son can be saved.

Amen! What a precious boy!
I have been reading your posts since I found out you were going to take him. That boy is beautiful and there has been a special place in my heart for him since I met him when he was 16 months old. I am sooooo happy he is doing so well! I saw him last august and thought he was perfect! Praise the Lord for the two of you. Thank you for posting. I have been praying for you guys. Have a safe move and enjoy the guesthouse as you transition. Many blessings to you. If you get a chance please give Ephraim an extra hug from someone who has a huge heart for him! : )

Ephraim has been a part of my life since he was a small baby. I never ever believed he was "Beyond Repair". Is anyone in the eyes of God??? I am so forever grateful to God that he's finally with the family he should always have been with. Bless you all (all 12 of you) as you learn daily what it means to be a FAMILY!!!! We love you all very much. You are a part of ABC too.
