We would appreciate your prayers. We are uncertain if what I am experiencing is spiritual or the result of a weakened immune system. Over the course of three days I have been placed on seven different drugs, add to that the two I take on a daily basis for my thyroid; I feel like a walking pharmacy.
Two days ago I began treatment for chronic gastritis, ulcers and a gastrointestinal fungal infection. Yesterday, I noticed a painful area below my right eye which seemed to resemble a mosquito bite. However, this morning I woke up and the "bite" was more swollen and painful and was accompanied by a terrible headache. Upon closer examination I realized that this was not a bite but a shingles outbreak. I called my Dr. and he has put me on two more drugs.
On a different note, although we have reason to believe it is effecting my health, as we have been packing we have realized that our house has a major black mold problem. We had to clear the boys out of their room after we found mold/moisture under one of their mattresses. My closet is covered in the nasty stuff, as is our bathroom and kitchen. If any of you ladies have information of how black mold effects your health, I would love to know. Looking back we see that my health always takes a nose dive in the rainy season (I know that rain in a tropical area is a breeding ground for mold spores).
In all of this, in the midst of looking after ten children and preparing to move, I am meditating on this portion of scripture,
"NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME." Acts 20:24

Where we live it is humid ALL THE TIME and we flood frequently. OUr last house had black mold. Our daughter, who was born in that house had MAJOR medical problems...all the time, the rest of us has minor issues. After we moved, within weeks she was well.
It's bad.
I don't know if you can get access to some probiotics and some digestive enzymes, but they would help you tremendously, to boos up your immune system.

oh my friend!!! I miss you!!! A lot! you've been on my mind soooo much lately! sorry to hear things aren't going so well! I can't believe you move in a couple weeks! I wish I could fly out and help you move!!! ok so about the mold thing.... Dad used to do restoration work - often dealing with mold - so I asked him what he thought... he said throw out the matress, if possible peel off whatever surface is covered that you can - i know those poor walls have been peeled and crumbled and beat up, but if you can peel off the moldy surfaces, do. if you can't scurb them down with bleach water. But it's important to wear gloves and a mask while dealing with the mold - whether scrubbing or peeling. and once it's cleaned up, fans help to avoid moisture - open the windows, get the fans going, get some circulation in there. BUT - NO FANS BEFORE ITS CLEANED UP!!! it can spread through the air if you use fans before it's cleaned.

i'm also writing a paper on the allopathic and naturopathic approaches to endometriosis treatment and pain management- finding some good stuff. most of it you may already know - but there's an amazing article by an naturopath doctor with awesome herbs and supplement treatments for pain managment and to help reduce the size of the implants. I'll forward it to you too, I think you'll really like it - it may also help with the PMS probs, as dysmenorrhea, as you probably know, is a major symptom!
