Groaning and Longing.

"All creation groans as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.  And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering.  We, too, wait, with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as His adopted children, including the new bodies He has promised us.  We were given this hope when we were saved."  Romans 8:22-24

This past week or so I have been exhausted. My body is tired.  I long to be "released."  To be honest, there are moments where I literally groan, for words can not express how I feel.  I am so thankful for this portion of scripture in Romans 8:22-24.

I "wait patiently and confidently (v. 25)."

And in the meantime I am praying for a few days of rest and renewal.

P.S. The count down is on--we move in 33 days.  The majority of our belongings made it to Northern Uganda this morning.  The kids are sleeping on their mattresses on the floor and we only have a few stacks of books that did not get packed.  I am loving less clutter.  Please continue to pray with us as we feel the attacks heating up--the enemy hates that we are bringing the good news to "far reaches" of Northern Uganda.
