"Garbage"

That is what we, in this home, like to call the un-kind words that spue forth from ones mouth. It seems that as of recent, a lot of large, adoptive families have been dumped on with other peoples "garbage."

This is what the Lord has for us,

"Lord give me your unfailing love, the salvation that You promised me. Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in Your Word."

P.S. How can anyone talk garbage about this face?

I think at times, people unwisely judge us for our absolute obedience. I do not think they understand that this is what the Lord has called certain families to do. Since they cannot see themselves adopting a large family, they question our judgement. Thats where they go wrong, our family tries to show them grace. It is very hard because even people that say they are Christ followers have some very ugly words. The biggest question we often times get, is When do you think enough is enough? OUr answer is a very sweet and kind "When the Lord says it is enough" Hang in there! It is obvious on every single one of your children faces that you are walking right with the Lord.

That's what we call it too......

I agree.....others have no idea why we would adopt a "large" family. Although I would challenge any Christian to find really small families in the Bible?? Hmmmm......

Forgiveness for not knowing that we are called....for no knowing our God in the way we do....for not knowing the pain & joy of what we do.....

We love saying....when there are no more orphans! He he he he- you should see the looks we get :)

Yes, garbage--that is truly all it is. Great perspective, dear friend.

I think often those who walk in the Lord's perfect will for their lives, those who are willing to make sacrifices to minister to the lost, the hurting, those in need, the little ones....
those who do these things often make others uncomfortable. They see you walking in the love of Christ, ministering to the orphaned and it is beautiful..... yet at such great cost that many choose to lash out at something they are not willing to embrace for the cost is too high for them.... how very tragic they they cannot see the priceless rewards and that the cost for not walking in the will of Jesus Christ is truly devastating.
How wonderful that you are resting in our God... trusting Him and loving the little ones, the precious children that He has always meant to be yours before the beginning of time.
Thank you for having the courage, faith and love to say, "Yes, Lord."
