"He leads with unfailing love and faithfulness." Psalm 25:10

This is our email, newsletter update. I will begin posting them here each month.

"Soldiers have not time for everything. I have no time for things outisde my profession," a young officer said once, and in a measure that is true. We can't be entangled in the affairs of this life if we are to be real soldiers. By its affairs I mean its chatters and it ways of thinking and deciding questions, its whole aspect and trend." Amy Camichael

Dear fellow soldiers,

As a family we are preparing for a new call of duty from the "Officer." As you can imagine, it will take some preperation for a family of ten to move ahead, however, in the midst of it all, we must remember that, "soldiers don't get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for they cannot please the officer who enlisted them" {Galatians 2:4}. How easy it is to get caught up with "civilian affairs," espcially when we take our eyes off the Officer. Please pray with us, that we will continually remember that He who enlisted us is also faithful to equip us!

Now that the holidays are among us, even in Uganda, we need to remember why we are celebrating. The enemy, in all his craftiness, will do all that he can to get our eyes off of Jesus. The children and I have enjoyed making simple holiday crafts and planning a birthday party for Jesus. Our prayer is that our children will see that the joy of Jesus' birth is what Christmas is all about.

Zane is planning to share in next months newsletter how the Lord has so very abundantly provided for our physical needs (housing, major vehicle repairs, etc.) as we heed His call to move to Northern Uganda. We are thankful for clear direction through God's provision.

It is our prayer that you will know how vitally important your "call of duty" is as you fight alongside us as soldiers of the Almighty King of Kings.
