JOY

The children and I have been having fun making Christmas crafts with the craft supplies that Nana brought last month--colored paper, glitter glue, googley eyes and puffies are used sparingly as to make them last as long as possible.
It is such a joy celebrating the season with a housefull of happy children--never mind the fact that it is 80 degree and the sun shines brightly. If you were in our house you would hear Happy Birthday being sung to Jesus and talk of what flavor of Birthday cake He prefers! And by the excitement that sprang forth from the 6 Christmas balls and 1 star I bought for $2, you would have thought I had bought the store out! I love, love the simplicity of my children.

Sidenote:
My heart is so full of ponderings and meditations, thus the lack of blog posts. Preparing to move our sweet little family to a once war-torn, remote, poverty stricken, satanically bound part of Uganda has taken a lot out of me, not in a bad way, just in a way that causes my heart to be far from blogging.

HONEY! LOVE THE TREES!!! Love you and your marvelous attitude! Wish it were 80 here. We have been stranded inside by a blizzard for 4 days now-no help in sight~! Can't wait until my hubby comes home to rescue us tomorrow :) HUGS to all your sweet ones!

I love seeing how your children enjoy the simplicity! It is very refreshing, apposed to the materialist world we live it. It takes work to be simple and I am sure you have worked hard to make your home this way. Hopefully, we can visit you and your family while we are in Uganda. My God give you strength as you move!

You are moving? Where to? Sorry we didnt get to come and see you on the way to the airport - we were running late.

Blessings to you and your family and wishing you a joyful Christmas!

Merry Christmas, well almost. I can relate to the 80 degree weather, doesn't quite feel right, but that's not why we celebrate! I love seeing the kids so happy and creative, you are an amazing mother, using what God has given you! We decorated the house last night, Judah wants to eat the Christmas lights, not much for him to play with yet! We'll miss you in Oregon, but see you soon, Lord willing!

Simplicity is AMAZING!!! Love the crafts...we are planning on doing some of that too! Praying as you prepare your hearts and minds for what Christ has planned for you in advance to do!
