Prayer and Fasting

If the Lord lays it on your heart throughout this next week, please join me in prayer and "fasting" for the deliverance of one of my children. This child is in bondage to lying and deception and although we have spent many a time praying over this child, it seems "this one will only come out through prayer AND fasting." I am unable, do to health reasons, to fast from food, therefore, I will be fasting for a week from ALL blogging for the sake of this precious soul. Trusting the Lord to break the shackles of bondage--"for freedom Christ set us free."

I will join you dear sister in the Lord in fasting and prayer. One of my children is in bondage to lieing as well and I've prayed over him many times. It breaks my heart because he is a good hearted person, but it's still wrong and it allows the enemy to come into the heart and take control. I will be with you in prayer.

I'm also here in Uganda and have actually met you once before (at a Christmas ballet presentation at a church in Entebbe) but you probably won't remember me. I have a child living with me that has the same issue. I'll be standing with you in prayer as you stand for your child and the many others that are in the same bondage.

I think that sounds like a wise/suitable fast! One of the things I have fasted from in the past is music (on the radio and CDs), but maybe blogging would be a better option these days!

Will be praying!

After you have made a decision that is pleasing to God, the Devil may try to make you have second thoughts. Intensify your prayer time, meditation, and good deeds. For if Satan's temptations merely cause you to increase your efforts to grow in holiness, he'll have an incentive to leave you alone. -- St. Ignatius of Loyola

I'll be praying with you, what has more power than to subdue our wills to be that of the Father? You are a life-giving woman of God, and He is working in and through you to love His children... may your sacrifice be a blessing to your child and to your whole community... In Joy, Hope, and Thanksgiving... Jocelyn
