Greater works...

"I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, SO THAT the Son can bring Glory to the Father....If you love Me, obey My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you a Helper." John 14
May our lives bring glory to the Father and Him alone as we seek to obey the command to "care for the orphan."
A short update on Ethan's brother. While Zane was in the village the people asked him to give the brother a Christian name. He is no longer going to be referred to as "the boy" or Ethan's brother, starting today he is Elijah. And a very cool story pertaining to new names. While Zane was re-introducing Ethan to the viallge they kept referring to him as Tabu (trouble)--his old name. Zane felt like the Lord wanted him to use this as an opportunity to explain how when we come to Christ we are given a new name. The people responded in understanding and excitement. Go God! Use what you see best fit to reach these peoples heart's for Christ. And as I type, Zane is in the city with Ethan's uncle getting more details on Elijah and just as important sharing the love of Jesus with Dominic (the uncle).
Greater Works than Him, for God's Glory!

What a beautiful picture! I've seen/read the debate about giving adopted children new names, and I think this is the main reason why I think it's good - yet another representation of what happens to us when we enter the family of God!

We just read these verses this morning in family devotions. We were telling the kids how God can and will do great things to bring Himself glory. I will definitely share this post with them! I am so excited to see how God is using your family! I love the name changes! You are doing your part to rescue and redeem these young ones... all the way down to their names! That's awesome!

Oh Praise God!! He has seen it transformed...not to be the same again....to take on Christ. That is one of the main reasons we changed our children's names....to make it real that they are now claimed by Christ- not us- GOD ALONE! Love it!
