My husband

Rarely do I blog, if ever, about my amazing husband. He blesses me beyond words. There are moments that I watch him love on our children and I cry tears of joy. He was the boy that was tough enough to play football and wrestle yet "soft" enough to babysit the neighbor kids on the weekends. He dreamed of having a house full of kids. Yesterday he said, "I love having four boys." He is the one that gets up in the middle of the night to change "explosive" diapers. He is patient, kind and passionate about the Lord. He has photos of me all over his office. He brings me coffee in bed, bathes the kids, teaches "homeschool" on his day off and is a pillar to our family. His heart is for the orphan, the oppressed and the lost. My husband makes me want to be a better wife and mother. And although he is not the big buff man that I met 9 years ago, he has lost 20 pounds since we moved to Africa and finds this a bit disheartening, he is the most godly man that I know. I love my husband!

P.S. I just received a phone call from my husband and this is what he said, with a smile in his voice, "there is the cutest handicapped baby girl down here at the church."

I remember your husband as a boy, and I always thought he was such a great kid. In fact, I wrote a Christmas program for our church one year and cast his whole family as the family in the program. I wonder if he remembers? To know that he has become such a man of God is so encouraging. To see him serving and loving so well is a blessing. To God be the glory! Hi, Zane!

I got to know Zane when he took Tim's place at the bachelor pad after Tim and I got married. I'm thankful for Zane because he's the reason I met you. :)

:) Makes me happy just to hear you still "like" each other! Few couples can claim that after a few year. May the LORD bless your marriage even more!

Summer, what a great post! I love hearing women recognize the contributions of their husbands and fathers to their children. Zane is precious to us as well because of his heart for ALL children and ALL ministry which is directly related to his intimate relationship with our Lord. We love you guys and appreciate the blessings that you both are!
