In the early evening I felt the Lord wooing me to His word. I opened up the book of Micah with all intentions to read the entire book....the Lord stopped me when I got to chapter 6 verses 3-4,
"My people, what have I done to you, and how have I wearied you? Answer Me. Indeed I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and ransomed you from the house of slavery."
I too was being asked the same question by the Lord, "what have I done to weary you?" To be honest, I was partly blaming my weariness on the calling the Lord has placed on my life. I could have had a simple, quiet life with two kids....but that is NOT the radical, completely surrendered life that the Lord has called me to. I have been 'ransomed!' And that is where it all begins. My life exchanged for His.
I am a bondservant of Jesus Christ--One who is lowly and gentle!

Oh friend--I think you gave up the quiet, uneventful life a loonnggggg time ago! A bondservant you certainly are. Praying that He would fill you up with supernatural energy, that He would replace your weariness with abundant stamina so that you may be able to do the task He has laid before you (with excellence).
You are an amazing woman of a mighty God! What a blessing it is to journey with you.
Needed this today. Your words always drench me in God's goodness and challenge me. Sometimes, I too get weary but I KNOW that God is good.
Resting in His goodness,
Sarah Dawn
Thank you for your powerful words of inspiration. Indeed it is God's calling that should free us and not burden us.
Powerful word....and yes, you could have been having a quiet life...but you would be bored to tears and wonder if this was all your life was supposed to be??
No doubt you are tired and weary...but you already know this...You are doing what God has called you to do and he will give you strength and grace inspite of the cultural differences, the distance from your loved ones, etc....He will encourage your heart and minister to you as you bask in His presence.......
I pray that He reassures you of his deep love and His approval of the life you have chosen because of your obedience. I pray that He gives rest for your soul...and that you are confident that when it is all said and done He will say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant...enter in...you have been faithful and have ministered to the least and there are many in the kingdom because of your life....
I pray that this encourages you and ministers to you...because you are an inspiration and blessing to all who know you....
Much love from our home to yours...
