Washing feet

I have found myself getting quite side tracked as far as homeschool is concerned. The Lord spoke to me about a year ago that the most important thing I can do in teaching my children is, "that from childhood you will know the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Jesus Christ." 2 Timothy 3:15. How easy it is for me to get caught up in phonics, number recognition and writing skills. Last night my wonderful husband reminded me that what the children really need is God's word--it will not return void! So, this morning instead of reading and writing we washed one anothers feet and read,

"If then your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet."
John 13:14.

We also traced our feet and glued them on our verse for the day!
